The Godfather and Other Characters


      The Godfather is an interesting and intelligent man, he is the boss of a big family, and he has many friends in government. The godfather has three sons. Sonny is the eldest son. He is tall, good-looking, strong man with thick brown hair. Another son is Michael. He is the youngest son. He uses an army uniform, and he is handsome.  The last son is Fredo. He is completely different. He is weak-looking and pale, with sad dark eyes and thin lips. Also, the godfather has many godsons, Jhonny Fontane is one. Johnny wants a character in a film, but the director did not give the role to Johnny. Then, He says to the godfather that if he can help you. Then, the godfather offered something that the film’s director cannot refuse.  Also, the godfather has a good heart. He adopts Tom Hagen because he was in the street when he was a boy. Now, Tom Hagen is a good lawyer. He is the Consigliori, the godfather’s chief adviser. Also, the godfather is a friendly man. He has an old friend Pete Clemenza. He is a confident friend. Finally, the godfather has a dangerous friend, Luca Brasi. He is the person that helps to solve the problems in the family business.

                                              Which one would you prefer? Heaven or Hell

               You must think about your actions, because your soul will be in heaven or in hell depending on them. “Which one would you prefer? According religion all the humans have a soul, that when your body die, it will live happily with God in the heaven or it will unfortunately with devil. Well, the first things you need to know is that, only if your soul is good, it may come in to heaven joined to god. This place is perfect for your soul besides, it will rest in peace eternally. Furthermore, heaven is the best place for your soul; it has a room temperature, is blue and relaxing, and is quiet and wonderful. Also, all the souls that live in this place share as family, and never, these feel physical needs. Heaven has a highest authority, this authority is God. On the other hand, its opposite is hell. Of course, if your soul is bad, so, it may come in to hell when you die. Clearly, hell is the worst place in the universe for your soul. Likewise, hell is very hot, is red and stressful, and is dark and wicked. Whenever, the soul in purgatory purge your sins and it feel guilty. In this place the boss is The Evil. Finally, is important that you think now, which of these two places is the best for its soul? Remember that your soul can live eternally there.

Anorexia: Causes and Effects

          The anorexia is a disruption because of numerous factors and it leads to several health consequences. Anorexia is caused by three factors, the first cause is in personal factors, and this includes an obsessive and compulsive personality. Also, these people are overachieving, and perfectionist. Consequently, the anorexia makes people decrease their self-esteem, and increase their tendency to depression. The second cause, is Family factors, this includes overprotection by parents, as well as, the extremely rigidity. Also, this factor includes, long terms conflict with families. The last factor is social and cultural factor: This causes; includes the multiple media that promote: perfect bodies, miraculous diets to lose weight and ideal figure. Also, sport such as: ballet, gymnastics and skating; increase the risk of suffer anorexia. However, the effect that causes the anorexia is the deterioration of the body; the symptoms include hands and cold feet, because of the sensitivity to environmental temperature. Also, the effects include dry skin, brittle nails, and dull hair. Furthermore, alterations in the pigmentation of the skin. Moreover, the body suffers cardiovascular disorders as: low blood pressure; as well as, gastrointestinal disorders that cause: nausea, vomit, diarrhea, constipation, slow digestion and abdominal pain.  Moreover, the anorexia causes anemia, loss of the menstruation, dehydration. Finally, anorexia causes psychic disturbances as emotional disorders, anxiety of all kinds such as anxiety to eat or anxiety to sleep. In conclusion, anorexia is a dangerous threat for health that is affecting many people, principally teenagers. Also, it involves many factors that affect our health and well-being.

Another story about a wicked witch 
                Once upon a time, near a long, crystal clear, bluish, beautiful, and enormous river, there was an old, big, pretty, popular, quiet, and productive city. In this city lived a couple. The husband was a handsome, strong, able, honest, thin, blonde, and tall man. He worked responsibility in the forest. The younger wife was beautiful, thin, blond, pure, patient, well, soft, just, sweet, and happy woman. She frequently helped to people.  Beside, in a dark, bad, cloudy, and thick forest lived an old, ugly, and wicked witch. She was making carefully a magic potion for eternal youth. But, she had not the last ingredient. She needed an innocent and pure soul. The witch wanted to rob easily the girl's soul. One day, the witch changed quickly her ugly face for an innocent face, and she visited the girl´s house. The innocent girl opened slowly the heavy door, and she immediately felt a cold air, and she fell asleep. The wicked witch had a dangerous knife, and she wanted to drag sadly the girl’s soul. Suddenly, the husband arrived opportunely to the house, and he with her arc shot exactly an arrow to the witch’s head, and the wicked witch died immediately. The husbands set fire to the witch's head. Finally, they lived happily ever after.

OLYMPIC GAMES

WHAT ARE THE OLYMPIC GAMES?
The Olympic Games are the most important international sport competitions. In these competitions thousands of athletes of all over the world participate in a variety of competitions. The last event was in London on 2012. In these games participates 204 countries, in 39 disciplines.
Actuality, International Olympic Committee is the institution that oversees and manages everything about the Olympics.
WHICH IS THE ORIGIN OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES?
These games born in Greece and was a religious festival created in order to honor Zeus. The first Olympiad was done on 776 B.C. and according to the legend Hercules created these competitions. These games were made in Olympia City and the men were naked, the women could not participate in this competition.
WHAT DOES OLYMPIC SYMBOLS REPRESENT?
·       OLYMPIC RINGS: It is the principal symbol of the Olympics. This symbol is compound by 5 rings intertwined with colors: Blue, black, red, yellow, and green. These drawings represent the five continents of the world, and the colors represent the colors that each country has in its flags.
·       OLYMPIC TORCH: The Olympic torch is a flame that represents the beginning of the Olympic Games.  The flame is burning every four years in the opening ceremony in the Hera’s temple, Greece. After, many athletes take this torch for through the world until arrived to the host country.  This flame represents the purity and clarity along the time.
·       OLYMPIC FLAG: The flag has the Olympic rings on with a white background.
·       OLYMPIC MEDALS:  The Olympic medals are given to the best athletes of each sport categories. The award for the first place is a gold medal, for the second place is the silver medal. And for the third place is the bronze medal. The medals have a circular shape, and in front of it is the goddess Nike of Athens.
WHICH HAS BEEN COLOMBIA‘S ROLE IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES?
Colombia inaugurated the Olympic Games on 1932, in The Angeles Olympics. Colombia has always participated in all competitions except on 1952, in the Helsinki Olympics. Colombia is the third country in South America after Brazil and Argentina. Through Olympic History, Colombia has stand out in cycling, boxing and weightlifting. Again, Colombia has gotten medals in athletics, shooting, wrestling, judo, taekwondo and BMX.
Colombia has gotten 2 gold medals. The first medal was gotten by Maria Isabel Urrutia on 2000, in the Sidney Games; her discipline: Weigh – Lifting. The second was gotten by Mariana Pajon on 2012, in the London Games. Her discipline: BMX: Bicycle Moto Cross.

      A Comfortable Place in The University of Quindio

     

             It is a comfortable square to study located in the school of Education. This place is small, but it has many tables and chairs. Also, this place has a television, and occasionally, it is used to watch soccer games. Usually, this place has many students that they are learning and studying. Besides, It has two grandstand, one platform, and Wi-Fi zone. Usually, it is used to culture presentations. This place is painting with orange and white colors, and its floor is brown. Moreover, it has around four bulletin boards. The cafeteria is near of this place, and always, it is clean and lighting. Finally, this place is warm, and it is perfect to rest before classes.

        This paragraph is about Lady Gaga. She is a good singer, producer, compositor, and fashions designer. Her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She was born in Manhattan, Nueva York, on March 26, 1986. She is a beautiful woman. She is blonde, and her height is 1.57 cm. She is thin and white. She is Catholic. She is recognized for her flamboyant, diverse contributions to the music industry through her fashion, performance and music videos. She is the older sister, and she has only one sister. She plays piano, keytar and guitar. She has a foundation that focuses on youth empowerment and issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring, and career development. It is the name to her foundation: Born This Way Foundation (BTWF). She has won 5 Grammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards. She has her own fragrance, it name is Fame. Her song more famous is Alejandro, it was publishing on 2009. Also, she was recognized as Artists of the Year for Billboard magazine's on 2010. She frequently is changing her appearance. Recently, she was to operate on hip. Then, she bought a gold wheelchair. She is a woman very outre, recognized for everyone.

Summary Class on March 21, 2013
Adriana was the assistant before me, and she read her summary. After, the teacher along Daniela and Carlos exhibited the drawings that my classmates had done in the previous class. Then, the professor said: meet the group to continued working in the descriptive paragraph. In my group the topic was “Name one movie you enjoy watching and explain why.” After, the professor Vela explained about difference between narration and description. Furthermore, Mr. Vela told me that wrote the next: “Alejandra and Adriana are going to explain arrived to or arrive at.” Then, the teacher wrote in the blackboard assignments: Paragraph of description: We publish in blog with deadline Monday March 25, 2013. Next paragraph: the next Tuesday April 2th, 2013 the teacher was going to upload in the blog, the topics for next paragraph. The last homework was reading the copies about of “Description.” This class was only one hour. For me, reading and writing class is very motivating considering that the teacher has done differences activities that stimulate to study English.

The Tiger and Old Lady

                   This story is about an old lady and a bad tiger. The tiger caused a lot of damage in the old lady’s cultivation. One day, she had a good idea, she invited the tiger to dinner in her house. She prepared five traps for the tiger. First, she prepared a very hot soup. Second, she added spicy to the water that he was going to drink. Third, she put many spikes on his towel. Fourth she sprayed grease on the door. Last, she placed a rug outside of the house. When the tiger arrived to the old lady’s house, she said: “you may have the soup from my kitchen.”When the tiger took the soup, he hurt his eyes because it was very hot. Then, the old lady said: "you can wash your eyes with that water, but the tiger could not open his eyes. Then, the tiger wanted to dry his face with the towel, and he hurt his face with the spikes. After, the tiger run to the door, he fell down by the rug. Finally the tiger rolled downhill in the rug until the river. The tiger died in the river.
