She is recognized for her flamboyant, diverse contributions to the music industry through her fashion, performance and music videos. She is the older sister, and she has only one sister. She plays piano, keytar and guitar. She has a foundation that focuses on youth empowerment and issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring, and career development. It is the name to her foundation: Born This Way Foundation (BTWF). She has won 5 Grammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards. She has her own fragrance, it name is Fame.
