Anorexia: Causes and Effects
The anorexia is a disruption because of
numerous factors and it leads to several health consequences. Anorexia is
caused by three factors, the first cause is in personal factors, and this
includes an obsessive and compulsive personality. Also, these people are
overachieving, and perfectionist. Consequently, the anorexia makes people
decrease their self-esteem, and increase their tendency to depression. The
second cause, is Family factors, this includes overprotection by parents, as
well as, the extremely rigidity. Also, this factor includes, long
terms conflict with families. The last factor is social and cultural
factor: This causes; includes the multiple media that promote: perfect bodies,
miraculous diets to lose weight and ideal figure. Also, sport such as: ballet,
gymnastics and skating; increase the risk of suffer anorexia. However, the
effect that causes the anorexia is the deterioration of the body; the symptoms
include hands and cold feet, because of the sensitivity to environmental
temperature. Also, the effects include dry skin, brittle nails, and dull hair. Furthermore,
alterations in the pigmentation of the skin. Moreover, the body suffers
cardiovascular disorders as: low blood pressure; as well as, gastrointestinal
disorders that cause: nausea, vomit, diarrhea, constipation, slow digestion and
abdominal pain. Moreover, the anorexia causes anemia, loss of the
menstruation, dehydration. Finally, anorexia causes psychic disturbances as
emotional disorders, anxiety of all kinds such as anxiety to eat or anxiety to
sleep. In conclusion, anorexia is a dangerous threat for health that is
affecting many people, principally teenagers. Also,
it involves many factors that affect our health and well-being.
